Theories are ideas that can not be proven; they can only disproven, and a lack of disproof implies proof.

So, if one is to state that: “Theories are ideas that can not be proven; they can only disproven, and a lack of disproof implies proof,” then is the statement a fact, or is it a theory in itself? because there is no tangible proof that a theory can not be proven, but rather it is a conclusion that has been derived from a lack of disproof that it is valid.
